I am a huge music fan and the current state of the music industry continues to disappoint my spirit. Not only does it lack the musical melodies and soulful voices of decades past, but the lack of lyrical substance and emotional connection leaves me hopeless.
Recently, I witnessed India Arie's performance of her song "Beautiful Flower" on the BET Honors Award Show in tribute
Dear Debater,
Could you be so kind as to enter this question for debate?
Resolved
THAT THOSE WHO RECEIVE STATE (TAX PAYER) SUBSIDIZED FUNDS BE REQUIRED TO MAKE THEIR CHILDREN AVAILABLE FOR STATE APPROVED EDUCATION?
When debating this question let us remember that the abilities and skills to survive and excel in this test of life are forever ingrained in us by our parents and educators. What is instilled in a child, be it right or wrong, becomes a permanent and lasting part of one’s being. T… Continue
Give and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over... [Luke 6:38]
During these hard economic times, we all can say that we have less than what we may have had a year or two ago. From unemployment to the foreclosure crisis, Americans are spending less and saving more. With that being said, many… Continue
Today I was reading an article on CNN.com entitled, “Why real men DO buy women flowers”. The context of the article was to enlighten men and women on the somewhat extinct act of a man letting a woman know how he feels about her through small gestures of kindness . The writer in the article reflects on h… Continue
Magazine Ad from Ralph Lauren
Take a good look at this photo from a Ralph Lauren ad. What do you think about the model in this ad? I was shocked and horrified that such a leading fashion designer would think that this ad is appealing to a woman/girl and would make her want to go out and buy this outfit! Is this what our societ… Continue

One of my favorite quotes is by Mahatma Gandhi which says “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. As a young girl and teen I struggled with feeling good about myself. I never tried new things or was the popular girl in school. I never believed in m… Continue

Those who have attained things worth having in this world have worked while others idled, have persevered when others gave up in despair, have practiced early in life the valuable habits of self-denial, industry, and singleness of purpose. As a result, they enjoy… Continue

If I could give you the world
On a silver platter
Would it even matter?
You’d still be mad at me
If I could find in all this
A dozen roses
Which I would give to you
You’d still be miserable
In reality, I’m gonna be who I be
And I don’t feel no faults
For all the lies that you bought
You can try as you may

Hello,
My name is Doris Anne Beaulieu. I have a website-Life’s Ultimate Test dot com-on which you can learn more about my mission to change the face of home schooling.

These are often some of the same things that modern home schooling parents aim to protect their children from. A superior court judg… Continue

I have learned and I choose to live by certain rules when it comes to the energy that I allow within my presence. In my opinion, I believe that every woman has a right to demand POSITIVE ENERGY in their lives and within their relationships. If I sense negative energy or intentions in a person, I immediately distance myself. Some people may feel that I am harsh but I feel that I have the RIGHT to protect my emotional interests and to avoid NEGATIVE ENERGY a… Continue
